I suck at names. Names for girls is all I'm good at. If it comes to stories or websites... not so great. I can come up with site names occasionally by translating my favorite words into another language. (Hence moonlight in Italian.)
That way seems way over used, doesn't it? I know... but it's the only way I can come up with some good names! Who likes a sucky site name? I certainly don't. I really enjoy websites who have a catchy site name. (A really eyecatching layout helps as well!)
I had a lot of choices. They were all Japanese. I checked their availablility and most of them were taken for every single url you could think of. Obviously the Japanese language is very popular and loved by many. That... or they just like using Japanese words for site names. I don't blame them. It's an amazing language... And the Japanese come up with some really amazing stuff.
I love the Japanese language, but I figured it was used way too much and was getting too boring to be a site name... So I decided on my second favorite language. Italian! Searched some words... and found moonlight. And tada! Moonlight is a pretty word in English and it's still a pretty word when Italian!
Though... I'm still not that original... because there's someone else with the same site name!
